Then why not volunteer for London's leading arts and entertainment booking service for deaf and disabled people?
Shape Tickets is a subsidised service that offers people, who may otherwise not be able to do so, the chance to access the best entertainment and arts events that London has to offer. The scheme could not operate without its dedicated army of volunteer Access Assistants, who freely donate their time to escort deaf or disabled members to arts and entertainment events. In return, the volunteer gets a free night out as well as the knowledge that they have helped to make a huge difference to the quality of someone's life. As one member put it:
"Shape has given me back my life, and I am most grateful...it is the most marvellous thing that has happened in the past two horrible years"

Step 1 of 3
The Volunteer Social Network was established so that like-minded people could get together to share their experiences over a glass or two of wine. It is an opportunity to pick up useful tips that will make your life as a volunteer easier, and learn more about the people and the charity that you are supporting. If you would like to be invited to Volunteer Social Network events, please check the yes box.
Shape Tickets is a charitable service and as such it is important that we keep our costs to an absolute minimum. If you wish to help us do this by not claiming back your travel expenses, please tick this box. Thank you for your support.
It is important that Shape understands why you would like to become a Shape Tickets Volunteer, we would therefore like you to write one or two paragraphs about what your motivation is. This is necessary for a couple of reasons; firstly, it helps us to better understand our volunteers, which in turn enables us to ensure that the scheme remains relevant to you. Secondly, it helps us to ascertain whether or not the scheme is appropriate for you.
